Hi everyone it's me, only like four weeks late on this thing because I'm trash.

BUT HERE WE ARE, I was originally gonna do this on plurk, but I figured between timezones and all that, tossing up a post we can comment on at our own pace might be easier, so this is it.

So what's being going on behind the scenes is Kara digging into the network/lives of everyone who volunteered to show up, as well as actually organising their appearance on the show, to make sure everyone from the TV side of things knows what's going down. She probably also met up with each person who volunteered again at least once, so if you want to log or handwave that I'm open for whatever!

And now things are ready to go ahead, which is what this post ifs for, so you guys and me can talk things over and decide how it's all gonna go down. As I mentioned in the original post, I'd prefer if it wasn't a horrible disaster, but aside from that I'm happy to let you all decide the specifics or for us to bounce ideas off each other. I want everyone to have fun with this, so I'm not gonna be hella controlling!!

Structure-wise, I was thinking if I put up a log with several starters that will basically be the 'questions' that the host asks, and then you guys are free to thread things out underneath. That way not everything has to happen strictly in order and you have a little more room to move if not everyone can be around at the same time. On that note I'm happy to NPC as much or as little as you'd like, but since I work 9-5 in Australia, I can't be around much for the USians night time which I know is when a lot of threading happens, so you'd have to be patient.

If you have suggestions for questions or any other comments, this is the place for it!! Otherwise you can just plot amongst yourself and throw ideas at the wall to see what sticks.

Have you decided what sorts of questions the host will ask? Will imPorts have time to prepare answers beforehand, or will they basically be put on the spot?

well at least there's one person in a terrible timezone with me

they won't really have time to prepare beforehand. kara tried to wrangle it but would've only got vague answers. it was the trade off for getting someone who's actually sympathetic to imports, though, so the questions wont be interrgatory, at least.

i don't have the specifics of them planned out, but i do have a few ideas. it'll mostly be general stuff about their life in this world and then focusing on the events in bulgaria/florida. there'll be a few ~controversial~ questions about their view on the government, because what's a talk show without trying to drum up ratings

Supes already explained he doesn't go on the network so he'll simply answer all of questions and try to be honest, and he already told her she can talk with people that know him!

And he has a lot of experience with the public so his answers would be 100% diplomatic and non-confrontational even if they try to push his buttons

Absolutely! He couldn't share that when he last talked with Kanaya but now that he's going as Superman he'll even tell her he's an alien too, in case that helps.

sorry for the delay, but yeah that structure sounds good to me, whether we're playing within the starters together or with the npc!

as far as disaster goes, kanaya can be diplomatic, but for the most part she's short on patience. she'll be trying at least, but i will not mind at all if anyone else jumps in to rein her in when she starts getting too incendiary. i could even write my tags with opportunities for others to step in at those points?

that sounds like it would work well!! maybe with a little pre-potting to work out what buttons the host/audience might press and how other imPorts can be like "kanaya no"

just make sure no one starts talking about capital punishment, that would probably be the quickest way to get her on everyone's bad side

also, it's superman and not clark who's in, right? just wondering because she'd be more likely to listen to one over the other, orphaned alien solidarity and all
