So much of what I once believed has turned out to be a lie. It makes me feel... erased, in a sense.

That we were protectors. That my king could be trusted.

[It isn't hard to make the guess that king means Odin, which is a complicated thing and Kara really isn't sure if she wants to hear whatever this is. There are other things she can focus on, at least.]

Belief isn't about truth. If you acted to protect, in the belief you were protecting, that is who you are.
