[Kara's room has stayed as undecorated as it was when she moved in; there's clothes in the wardrobe and vague signs that her bed as been slept in, though it's made again, and that's about it.

And despite Thor taking a seat, she remains standing, hands clasped loosely behind her back in an approximation of parade rest.]

['You were fucking your girlfriend which is fine but it's weird to think about' is what she isn't saying during that brief pause.]

I've been keeping busy, there is work, and smaller troubles beyond the wall.

[He listens, and nods. He's happy that she's keeping busy in a productive manner as opposed to Valkyrie who consistently stays busy in an unproductive manner.]

About that, about my occupation, I'd been meaning to mention how things will be from now on. [Thor smiles up at her.] Which is to say, I'd like it if they didn't change.

[If Kara had been worried about that she doesn't show it; and the truth is that while she'd be slightly disappointed about having to leave, it wouldn't be the end of the world for her.]

I’m very certain. I’m sure it would cause you no trouble, but I don’t offer things idly with no intention of following through.

[He shrugs.] Besides, I always knew Bryn would return.

[Kara nods, accepting both Thor's answer and his faith in Bryn. She could maybe question it, since his mood after Bryn's departure leaned more towards mourning than waiting, but she isn't going to call him out.]

Is she happy with us here? I-- [Hmm, how to phrase this?] She believes she insulted me during a conversation. She did not, but if she is uncomfortable...

[Kara doubts Bryn would actually ask her to leave, but if she wants her to, she would.]

I don't imagine she's uncomfortable, per se. She's very mindful of others, I suppose it's a little complicated for all of us to navigate.

[He considers, but he shakes his head.]

I don't doubt that once we move past the rough patch, we'll settle in together well. I like you all, so at least you all have that in common.

[That seems to fit with what she's seen of Bryn so far, that she's someone who's mindful of others. It's also definitely strange to navigate.]

If you're certain, but know I'll take no offense if circumstances must change.

[He concedes. He doesn't want to keep pushing, because things could change and he'd look like an ass.]

[She tries not to openly question Thor too much, just because it doesn't quite feel right to do so, but she can't help her surprise.]

Um, yes? [Thor can't help but blink in surprise, taken aback by the question.]

You've been nothing but nice to me- and I think the world of you, so surely Bucky will feel similarly.

[It's for the best she's still dealing with the fact he thinks she's nice, because later the whole "I think the world of you" is going to hit her and she'll have to lie down for a while.]

You and Loki are different.

[Which is to say she's not as nice to everyone else as she is to them.]

I will go, but it has been many years since I've... dated.

If you have the capacity to be nice to me, then you posses the ability to be nice to others. Given time, anyway. [Thor reaches out, giving her shoulder a pat.]

From the sounds of it, he's been off the market for some time too. Don't think much of it, you know? Just have a good time.

[If this were a conversation with anyone else, Kara would be tempted to make a joke about sex to change the conversation from her niceness, but that's not a topic she's bringing up around Thor.]

It’s Bucky. [Thor says, simply, then he needs to consider.] J..ames. James. But there’s two, as things tend to go here. He has shorter hair than the other one.

I'm not familiar with either of them. Is he human?

[It's not a huge issue one way or another, since this is just a date, but she's curious.]

He is a human, but as I understand it, he has been modified in some manner to be stronger than the average mortal. He’s quite a special guy, actually.

That's useful to know, it might make the night more interesting, depending where it ends.
